I'm looking for specific instruction on how to migrate emails ONLY from one older macbook to a new macbook air. I've installed Thunderbird on the new macbook and have used it for a few weeks but need to get the old emails to the new computer. I am NOT looking to migrate anything but the emails.

So, you're saying the accounts are installed and you only want to copy the message folders? You can do that by exiting Thunderbird, and, at the file level, locate the folders in the Mail or Imapmail folders in your profile and copy to the new profile within the same accounts. Email is usually two entries, e.g., INPUT and INPUT.msf.
