Hello.

I am very happy with Thunderbird and would prefer not to switch to another program.

I just got myself a new computer and then this problem occurred... The threads come up in my emails and I do NOT want that to happen. It makes the overview of the emails unclear and very confusing. And I do not see clearly if I have read them or not.

I have searched and searched a lot online to find out... but have not succeeded. (my son also tried..)

So I am wondering how I can have the emails coming up one by one (like before), without having the threads..?

The screenshot shows how the email come up for me in Thunderbird, I would like them to come "one by one" without the threads..

Would appreciate your reply!

All the best, Anne Berit Olsvik

Your Thunderbird is set to display threads and you have selected a thread 'head' in the screenshot. Best for your case is to disable threads by going to View / Sort by / Unthreaded.

How does one disable threading *globally*? I use Thunderbird to manage several email accounts and, as a result, have a bajillion folders. This solution seems to only work on an individual-folder basis rather than application-wide.
