i lost all my sync data
I re-installed a fresh windows copy, and after I signed into my Sync account I found nothing of my saved info including everything (bookmarks, saved password... etc).. I tried different computer and still have the same problem. I removed and re-installed firefox, but in vain. I don't know what happened. I believe that my data are saved to my account not on computer, so I supposed to find them wherever I sign in.. plz help me to solve this serious issue. thanks in advance.

Hi
Thank you for your question about the Firefox Sync service.
It appears from your question, that you are using Firefox Sync as a back up service. This is not what Sync is designed to do. The Firefox Sync service takes a copy of the data you wish to include and transfers it to a second device (typically a mobile device such as a tablet or a telephone) running a copy of Firefox. The storage in between all attached devices is both temporary and fragile and is not stable enough to be (and is not designed as) a reliable backup service.
If you have a copy of your Firefox profile for desktop Firefox, you may be able to recover your bookmarks and other data. Please have a read of this article.
If you have a copy of your data on a mobile version of Firefox, please follow these instructions to connect it to Firefox Sync to copy your data.
thanks a lot for your quick response.. is there any way to restore my info ? it is very important for me and I can do any solution to solve this serious issue.. thx a lot

Firefox data is saved on the computer it was created on there is on online server as mentioned that is sync between devices and that is all.
You really do not read my replies to you about Sync servers.
Then why do these articles mention Sync Server. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/suspicious-activity-my-firefox-account https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-firefox-securely-saves-passwords

Sync Server... I think Mozilla needs to step up and warn or remind user that are only syncing with 1 device. Something like... We noticed that your are only syncing 1 device. Firefox Sync allows you to choose the types of data to sync across devices. Sync is not a backup for your data my friend. XOXO
Mozilla ;-))
thx a lot dear friends, I am so sad to lose my work and very very very important info more than 15 years.. I hope one day I can find a solution to my huge loss
Sorry for your loss, but going forward I suggest you run more than one version of Firefox on multiple systems using sync so that your data is not in just one place. see old screenshots
