GUI Rendering Issue

I've been noticing a rendering issue on my Ubuntu 20.04 LTS machine running the i3wm. The integrated message display will sometimes get into a state where the control buttons and message headers are positioned incorrectly. See the attached screenshot. Standalone messages (i.e. displayed in their own window) are not impacted. The only way to resolve this behavior that I've found is to restart Thunderbird.

Thunderbird Version 102.15.1 (64-bit)

So restarting temporarily fixes it?

That is correct. The problem goes away and then eventually comes back. Unfortunately, I have not yet been able to identify what triggers this condition.
