Why would you auto update me to FF3.6 when this was already done Mar.12/10? Since then I loaded3.6.2 & 3.6.3. Stop going backwards or I find a new browser immediately.

Firefox has to give me a choice to update, not just automatically start using up space with useless downloads. What happens to versions 3.6.2 & 3.6.3? Three strikes and Firefox is out of this house.

I'm not sure what you mean. You now have Firefox 3.6.6 and not 3.6 (3.6.0) The update from 3.6.4 to 3.6.6 is only a few KB as only a pref in the file greprefs\all.js needed to be changed.

Firefox 3.6.5 has been skipped because the Gecko version 3.6.5 has been used for the mobile Fennec version. See also https://wiki.mozilla.org/Releases/

Thanks to "cor-el" for responding. After this update was completed Firefox announced that I now have Firefox 3.6, not 3,6,6 which you say I have "cor-el". My problem is that I already downloaded Firefox 3.6 back in March 2010. If I had just been updated to Firefox 3.6.6 why wouldn't Firefox announce that? There was also a request that I should update Adobe Flash Player which I also did back on June 22/10. Above all this my main complaint is that I was not given a choice to download this update of Firefox 3.6 it was automatic - not acceptable! If I had been given a choice to upgrade to Firefox 3.6 I would NOT have done it and I would not have to put both of us through all this "cor-el"

Brian Click Help > About Mozilla Firefox. What version does it say? The browser you used to post your question is Firefox 3.6.6.
