I don't want Firefox to remember my password. How do I stop it.
I think I accidentally told Firefox to remember a password for another site. I do not want that. How do I stop it?
I think it started when I accidentally told Firefox to remember my password when I downloaded a newer version a short while back.

Do you not want Firefox to remember your password for specific website(s) or do you want to disable this feature all together? If you want to disable this feature all together follow these instructions 1. At the top of one of your Firefox window, click on the Tools menu in and then click Options 2. Select the Security Tab 3. Un-check the "Remember passwords for sites" check box
If you want to delete stored password(s) follow the instructions found on this page Password manager - Remember, delete, change and import saved passwords in Firefox see the "Viewing and deleting passwords" section
PERFECT.. just couldn't figure out how to get there..
Now I know and it worked perfectly.
Many thanks..
I have the same problem with Firefox 4.0.1. But even if I uncheck it, next time I start Firefox, it is checked again. It does not remember my choice
Do you have DELL face recognition software?
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
