The Header picture does not display in 5.0.

The Amazon Associate widgets do not work in 4.0 or 5.0.

Yet all works in 3.6.18 and Safari and IE 8.0.

By the way, my Bank of America MyMerrill logon does not work with 4.0 or 5.0 but does work with 3.6.18 and Safari and IE 8.0.

Not sure what you did, but it is making Firefox unreliable and unpredictable to use. Please fix it as Firefox has previously been the best browser.

The header picture on the home page? Works fine for me in Fx5 on Win7x64 (see attachment). Where are the other issues on your site?

Note: If I click the W3C XHTML icon, I get a bunch of minor validation errors, so I think you might need to check that out if you plan to keep displaying the icon.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am using Windows XP and your successful viewing was with Windows 7. So maybe there is an XP - FF5 compatibility issue?

Here is the other part of my site where I am using Amazon Widgets to sell books and DVDs for donation purposes. When you click on a book image, it completely disappears and if you click on the entire row, the content on the page moves up to fill now empty space. Very odd. http://www.careforthetroops.org/library_reference_bibliography.php

Here is the MyMerrill sign on page. I sent in a problem ticket to their tech support and they acknowledged the problem and said they were working on it. So others are likely having the same problem. When you go to the page you put in the ID and then the "Continue" button becomes active. But what happens is the ID is typed in, but the "continue" button never gets activated. https://olui2.fs.ml.com/login/ConfirmIdentity.aspx

Again, I appreciate your looking into this. There are still tons of XP systems out there, so hopefully you can get FF5.0 to work with it. Meanwhile I will use FF3.6.

I like FF and want it to be successful.

I see the header picture in Firefox 5.0 / WinXP SP3.
You might want to change these apostrophes to quotation marks.

Hey Pete, I see you are using Windows XP and Firefox 3.6 like me. Have you had any problems sending email attachments? My problem started about 2 months ago. Anytime I try and attach a file (MS Word, mostly) I get an error message that the file can't be read - any ideas? Thanks.

I can't reproduce that; those actions work normally for me. Do you use any add-ons that let you remove items with a click, such as "Nuke Anything Enhanced"? I wonder whether it might be misbehaving.

I think this changed already, perhaps temporarily while they look into it, because the button is not inactive when you first visit the page.

Firefox caches aggressively, so if you see a disabled button and think this might be remembered from earlier in your session, you could try to reload bypassing the cache. One way to do this is pressing Ctrl+Shift+r. Then the page should reload in its normal starting condition.

I have not had any issues viewing files. However what you might be referring to is how the new WORD 2007 DOCX files are handled vs the former 2003 DOC files.

With the DOC files, they are downloaded and can be saved or opened right from a popup up window that gives you those choices. But with DOCX files what happens is they are downloaded first to your hard drive and then you have to go to the folder to open it in WORD or use the FF..tools..download menu item to to open it. But it becomes a two step process with DOCX files which is inconvenient.

I have never tried this with other browsers and just thought it was a WORD issue with their DOCX file type which has caused other compatibility issues when working with other people in working groups.

Sorry I can not be any more help. Your question makes me realize I have put up with this inconvenience and it may actually be an error in how FF handles the new DOCX files.
