I downloaded a firefox update. It put it in my archive folder. Does that mean I am updated now? Do I have to do something else?

OK, I already asked this once. Now my question is, how do I know if you have answered my question, and where do I find the answer?

You seem to be running the Firefox 3.6.20 version from the Ubuntu repository, so you need to update your Firefox version via the Ubuntu software management.

You can also install the official Firefox version from the Mozilla site, then you do not get the extras that Ubuntu usually add in its branded version and that you probably do not need.
