problem loading the page on clicking the firefox symbol
I use a MacBook Pro. When firefox is open (blue light under the symbol), I cannot open a page when clicking on the firefox symbol. I have to go to file and click new tab, new window or open location. Or to bookmarks.

Do you mean that your home page will not open?
yes correct my home page will not open.
Did you try to close that not working window if it work in the new window?
If I quit Firefox, on first opening it's open to home page but then after that it's back to same problem of not being able to open unless going to file etc......etc....
Have you checked your home page setting in Preferences > General?
yes, all checked
