Firefox 10.0 says it's incompatible with Norton Toolbar and Norton Identity Safe. We recently had this with upgrade to Firefox 9.0. Can the update Norton provided for Firefox 9.0 be incorporated in 10.0?

Norton did send me the updates/patch via Live Update and my Firefox 10 now compatible with Norton Toolbar and Norton 360, Identity Safe, etc.

Thanks for this mha007. I'm working with Norton 360 v. 5.1 I've tried the Live Update several times, also after rebooting. It's given me some minor updates but not yet the 5.2 patch. Once that's installed, I could run LiveUpdate again to receive the Firefox 10 compatibility patch. Norton informs these patches are not available manually and that they will come automatically via Live Update. So I'll see if there's a change overnight. Thanks again.

I'm unclear what this would have to do with updating Norton 360 v. 5.1 to v. 5.2. I did receive further updates from Live Update, but not yet the patches I was waiting for. Again the main issue is that Norton Identity Safe and Norton toolbar seem to be incompatible with Firefox 10

This thread is showing this problem as "solved," but it hasn't been solved yet. I've not received from Norton an update (via Live Update) to 5.2 for my Norton 360 version 5.1. Hence I cannot receive the patch for compatibility with Firefox 10. I see another thread is also exploring the problem of Firefox 10 incompatibility with Norton Identity Safe (which is included in Norton 360) so I've signed on to that thread also.

I have checked and so far it's not working yet. I've run Live Update many times and also rebooted each time, but Norton has not yet sent a version 5.2 upgrade for my Norton 360, version 5.1. Hence I've not received the Norton Toolbar Compatibility Update for Firefox 10.

No, it's still in version 5.2.0.13, but the update/patch sent resolved the problem!

Symantec waits until a new version of Firefox is released before releasing an update (and while it usually happens within a day, it could take a little longer). They suggest that you should always LiveUpdate before you update Firefox (and hence you may need to wait a few days after Firefox is released.)
