How do i add a custom font to firefox?
hey, Im trying to find a way to add a custom font to the list in the firefox font options. The font is installed on my system. I have googled it a fair amount, and cant seem to find anything of use for me.
Is there an easy way to do this? Thanks for any help
(please keep in mind that im a script/code rookie)

That is a pixel (bitmap) font and such fonts no longer work in current Firefox versions.
If you really want to use such a bitmap font then you need a true type version of that font.

Hi,
One possible reason could be that the font file doesn't include the characters for Western. You could try to change the Fonts for: option in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Content > Advanced (beside Fonts & Colors), to check if it gets listed in the drop-down menus below.
thanks for the reply
i checked all the dropdown font lists, and the font isnt there.
(The font is HaxrCorp 4088, if it helps!)
Not sure about HaxrCorp 4088. You could check if it is installed and listed in the Windows Control Panel > Fonts folder and also that it is set to Show.
Thanks again for the reply. It is installed, and i am using it for my system font. Hence why i want to use it in firefox, so its all consistent.
Can you please provide a download link?? You can also try to toggle Use hardware acceleration when available in Tools (Alt + T) > Options > Advanced > General (exit and restart Firefox each time) and check.

thankyou cor-el for the explanation and links. i downloaded and installed them, but i have ended up not using them as the font is a bit of a pain to look at when reading large bodies of texts. Was to good know though
Yes, I reckoned that.
Bitmap (raster) fonts are something from the past (VGA displays and MSDOS) and shouldn't be used these days.
You should now only use vector fonts (true type and open type).
