If Chrome does not work then there is nothing really we can do? It's a configuration issue since your computer is custom built.

You can check for problems with current Flash plugin versions and try these:

• disable a possible RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension for Firefox and update the RealPlayer if installed
• disable protected mode in Flash 11.3 and later
• disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin

Try to boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.

Works in IE...

It will not open settings when I right click on it in yahoo and click on settings, but it will when I am on you tube. Once again it works fine in IE

The only place video won't play is @ yahoo.com. Will not play with firefox or chrome, but will play with Internet explorer. windows 8. If it was a config problem it wouldn't play with internet explorer.

I know what you're dealing with hcetih. I am currently dealing with the same exact problem. Unfortunately, Just like you...I am still looking for a solution. I will post a if I ever figure out how to fix it. I would appreciate it if you do the same.

I had the same problem, check your firewall settings to see if flash player plugin is being blocked. I could go to other sites and the flash player would play fine, but when I tried videos at yahoo it would be a black screen telling me we are sorry about the video not playing check back in a few minutes. After deleting adobe plugin setting in comodo application rules videos work fine on yahoo now. Hope this helps and have a good day...

Yahoo videos are now working with windows 8 and firefox nightly. I have been checking everyday and they are working now. This was an issue with yahoo and firefox. I cannot believe this was not reported hardly at all. I have changed nothing on my computer either.

I am having the same problem with videos in Firefox. Videos work fine in IE but not Firefox. I tried to install Chrome thinking it may work and replace Firefox. Has the same problem. I can only view Adobe Flash player videos in IE. Videos work fine in Utube but not in Firefox home page or associated links. This is the same problem I tried getting answered but replys stopped? Any suggestions? I am running windows 7 as is required for software applications. Cannot upgrade to Window 8. I am including a screen shot of typical result of Yahoo not running video. The blue circle just keep running around. If I right click to access settings, the popup window just disappears when I click on Settings. I can access the setting in IE but not Firefox. Same problem when I tried videos in Chrome if that helps?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

This does not work. The videos will work every once in a while.

I have the same problem, and I have tried all the troubleshooting and checked other support articles and users with similar problems, but still no luck.

All plugins are up to date. Internet Explorer plays all these files without any problem, so I know it has to be Firefox issue or bug.

Problem solved! I downloaded and installed Firefox 24.0 Beta. Apparently Mozilla programming team made all the right changes in the new release. Now all videos starting working on Yahoo and BBC.
