iGoogle informed me that they would close Nov. 1, so I went to Internet Explorer and I don't like it. I want to go to Google Chrome, but I'm not having any success.

iGoogle is a website, not a browser. iGoogle is gone now and no longer exists. It will not appear on any browser. As an alternative for what I have used is NetVibes.

As said above, you can still use any browser you like. You could use your Chrome browser in combination with a personal start page such as http://www.start.me .
