I want to change my Firefox master password but it won't accept my current one

Try to reboot the computer to see see if that has effect.
Also make sure that CAPS lock isn't interfering.

If you can't get it work then you may have to reset the Master Password, but that will cause you to lose all stored passwords, so make a backup copy of the signons.sqlite and key3.db files.
