After latest update, no longer have the choice of opening an ATTACHMENT in AOL Mail

more options

I just learned from a Norton support tech that the latest Firefox update no longer enables me to OPEN an ATTACHMENT to an AOL email because it automatically downloads it to a default folder that I designated. This prevents me from viewing the download before deciding to SAVE it. Is there a solution for this?

To change how Firefox handles downloads, you can adjust a setting in Options, on the General panel. Instead of setting a specific folder to be used every time, try selecting "Always ask me where to save files."

This article has the steps: Startup, home page, tabs, and download settings.

Was that what you meant, or was it a different problem?

By the way, when you select Open in Firefox's Open / Save / Cancel dialog, the file actually is downloaded to the Windows TEMP folder.
