Have been using Firefox for years. Suddenly Firefox does not automatically remove previous tabs and refuses to return to my default page. When I reboot, it resumes where it left off. I have to manually delete each tab to remove them. I tried re-installing Firefox and that did not work. Your help please.

There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes. If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).
