If it do, I wonder what to drawbacks are that make people not use this feature in about:config.

Additionally I wonder what about:config changes I should make to make to have pipelining run correctly.

The extension Pipelining Firefox will make the following changes to about:config. So I guess they will make a good outline of what to change.

network.http.pipelining network.http.pipelining.aggressive network.http.pipelining.ssl network.http.proxy.pipelining It will also set the network.http.pipelining.max-optimistic-requests to 8 nglayout.initialpaint.delay to 0
