I have the latest java and the latest firefox. But i can not enable java runtime to access my bank or my tax report. (Witch i really need to do)

I first got to pop-ups to allow, but then it says plugin not installed. In the dialog popup it says i have to do manuel instal, but when i klick there i come to download site to same version i have. I try download and install that, but same result. But i do have installed, i also uninstalled the old versions.

Everything works good with iex. I followed the faq but all it does is telling me too install java. Wich i have. Java deployment kit and java platform is listed in "utvidelser (Sorry i have Norwegian FF do not know English name) Java deployment has a warning sign. and both is set to ask for activation.

If this is not solved quickly, i will have to replace FF to a browser who allow me to check my bank and deliver my tax report..

There has been a change in the Java security settings, see:

If you visit a website regularly then a possible workaround is to add the URL to the Java Exceptions Site List, see:

If you click the screen shots you will see that it is not a security prompt to just click allow. It says java is not installed, even i have java installed. As you can see on the other screen shot.

The problem to this is probably found in a bug report reported in Open Java:

https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8061642?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel

A bug in this file, stops Java plugin from being seen in Firefox and you end up in a loop where Firefox continues to ask you to install plugin over and over again.

A fix if, you're up for it are described ( In Norwegian) here: I just discovered this forum post myself hunting for a fix for this problem so all credit belongs there.

https://www.dnb.no/labs/forum/bankid/problemer-med-java-8u25-og-firefox/

In short it describes the need of navigate to pluginreg.dat and edit as:
