ello! I use MAC OS and Firefox. I used an older version of Firefox and I had an account which synchronize passwords and favorite pages. Today upgraded MAC OS computer and install the latest version of Firefox. When you try to log in your account to get all passwords and favorite pages, my expression, there is no such profile. As I understand the new versions use new profiles and I how to extract data from my profile?

How to use the new version of Firefox? I have many passwords and favorite pages, please help me!

Thank you!

I reinstalled MAC OS. I hope that when I synchronized passwords and favorite pages so everything will be fine. I tried to log in with an older version of Firefox, but do not know my Recovery Key. Where can I get it?

Sorry, if you don't have your Recovery Key you can't connect to the Sync server to recover your data.

And where can I get this Recovery Key? I remember the email and password, and I can go here: https://account.services.mozilla.com/, but inside I find information about my Recovery Key. I tried to get here https://accounts.firefox.com/signin with my name and password, but it shows: "Unknown account. Sign up"

Please, do not want to lose my passwords and favorite pages I've collected for years. Why so irresponsible forsaken old profiles?

Why did you install Firefox 28 after you upgraded your operating system? It's not the "latest" version of Firefox. Firefox 29 was released on April 29, almost 6 months ago!

https://accounts.firefox.com/signin is for the Firefox 29 -Plus version of Sync; it doesn't use a "Recovery Key".

I installed an old version so I can log in and export passwords and my favorite sites, then asked me Recovery key. In the new version when you try to login with username and password I see the message that there is no such user ?!

I trusted synchronization and proved that does not work.

Ok I see, you were using a Firefox 28 [or earlier version] previously. As I said 3 hours ago, you need your Recovery Key to connect to the older version of Sync. Only you ever had that Key, Mozilla doesn't save that "key"' without it your data can't be recovered.

Overall, Sync works fine when it is used correctly and the user saves their Recovery Key as instructed when they set up Sync. IMO, not updating to Firefox 29, and the new Sync, 6 months ago was a mistake as the new Sync only needs your account email address and password; the Recovery Key is a hidden implementation now.

How to recover "Recovery key"? What's the point to remember 12 digit code, very stupid idea.

To see my "Recovery key" need to log in, but to log in I need to know my "Recovery key". - Haha

What is the logic? Same story like this
