My Thunderbird screen has the menu at the bottom now. How to fix this?

The menu of "reply, forward, delete etc now show at the bottom of the screen. The latest email is now open making it impossible to see the complete list of mail. Is all this a part of the new Thunderbird? If so, I do not like it.

I will take a wild guess and tell you to press F8 to turn off the Message Pane.

If that is not it, post a screen shot of what you are seeing.
