The last 2 versions of Thunderbird do not always send emails to the same recipients that I originally selected. This bug in Thunderbird causes major problems. If I am in a hurry to send an email to multiple recipients that I have selected, and do not check the recipient list before sending an email, I will often discover that the email was not going to be sent - or was sent - to the original recipient(s) that I selected, but was instead sent to one or more different recipients that I did not select, and to whom I never intended to send my email.
Thunderbird acts like only it is qualified to select an email recipient from any automatically generated pull down list of recipients matching some select criteria, and ignores/overrides the recipient selected by the email sender. This behavior is totally unacceptable for any product purporting to be an email client.
This problem has been in the last 2 releases of Thunderbird. Prior to that I never encountered this problem with Thunderbird.

Where I stated in my original posting: "... I will often discover that the email was not going to be sent - or was sent -...".
I meant to state: " I will often discover that the email was not going to be sent - or was not sent -...".

I don't have the bug number to hand, but this issue has been raised and elevated to urgent status on the Thunderbird bugzilla. Hopefully there will be an update to correct this in the near future.
