Guess I should have just asked How do you get to an earlier working version of Firefox???? Couldn't find any link or option to download anything but version 35, which I've already tried to reload. No changes in problem.

Does this crash also happen if you start Firefox in Safe Mode?

You can check if you can start Firefox in Safe Mode by holding down the Shift/Options key.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem.

Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. All these programs have free versions.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Thank you both - FredMcD and cor-el, But both sets of directions sound way too complicated for me. Yes, Firefox crashes in Safe-Mode. I am using Windows XP on a 12 year old Dell system. Neither has been supported for some time. At this point I would just like to move Firefox back to version 34 which worked. Its only been since version 35 was installed in December that I've been having these crashes. Also, several blue screens each of which seems to fixed themselves by eventually restarting my system.

What are you saying? Have you been running the updating program? Are there other problems?

Dell quit sending my automatic updates at least two years ago. Microsoft quit sending updates to the operating system a year ago. I'm still getting updates to Office 2003 and some other applications; eg, Quicken 2006, Adobe Reader 9, etc.

I have had no other problems with the system. IE gave me problems over a year ago which is the reason I switched to Firefox. But since them I was able to find and IE that is about two years old and it works fine. Probably the newer programs and versions are using too many of the new OS features to be compatible with XP.
