Why does old adobe flashplayer version 12 still show up after installing newer version 17?
I have tried to update my Adobe Flashplayer at least 4 or 5 times. But each time I go to check it still shows version 12. Today, I went into computer programs and deleted version 12 off my computer, hoping this would solve the problem. It shows the newer version 17 I already downloaded to update my flashplayer.
Why does it still show version 12 with update message when I go to check if it updated?
Adobe shows version 17 in the list, and in my computer programs (shows as shockwave flash).
How do I delete the older version off firefox and make sure I'm using the current version?

This might help.
Adobe Flash seems to have a nasty habit where it doesn't always remove its' older plugins when it updates. Earlier today I saw one user's System Details showing 4 versions of the Flash plugin as being installed.
First, grab the Adobe uninstaller from here: http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/uninstall-flash-player-windows.html
Then download the latest Flash Plugin version from here: Select Plugin-based browsers - the EXE version. https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/distribution3.html
Run the Flash uninstaller program, then reboot your PC. Then install the Plugin version of Flash. So you'll have a clean installation of Flash for Firefox.
