We have an enterprise wide Microsoft windows shop with 2,000 computers running Windows 7 and Windows 8.1. All machines have Firefox versions 37.0.1 - 38.0.5 and I want to change the start page on Firefox launch to a hosted site for our company without having to log into 2,000 computers and manually change it. What is the best way to accomplish this? We have software delivery options, as well as group policy for global changes, and we can push out scripts to end users if needed.

hi, probably the best way to go about that is using the method described in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Locking_preferences to deploy preferences in a way that can be fairly automated.

if you want to set a default homepage please also refer to this blog post in particular: https://mike.kaply.com/2012/08/29/setting-the-default-firefox-homepage-with-autoconfig/

Thanks - I think we will start with the cck2wizard and go from there to see what the fastest and most reliable approach is.
