Messages tell me to update my browser. I can't do this as I do not know the Administrator password. The alternative is my computer name but the update box will not accept this. How can I find out what the Administrator password is?

You are running a Windows Vista operating system (NT 6.0). The Administrator password is part of the operating system. It's not part of applications such as Firefox.

"Windows support" is support for the operating system. search for "Windows support"

Here is a support article entitled "How To Find the Administrator Password in Windows Vista" http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windowsvista/ht/windows-vista-administrator-password.htm

Updating Firefox shouldn't involve needing the Administrator password. And if you are trying to install a newer version of Firefox, the Admin password wouldn't be needed unless you are trying to install it "as the Administrator".

Do you know how to do a Firefox update? https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/update-firefox-latest-version Typically, that wouldn't need the Administrator password.
