does reloading TB effect all my stored emails?

TB 38.2.0 wont let me send emails so suggestions from everyone including isp is to reload TB but I have years of emails stored and cant afford to loose them

Re-installing Thunderbird would be a waste of time. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/cannot-send-messages
