why am I getting download using binary file

every time I go to download a game it say's opening install - you have chosen to install - Which is Binary File then only gives the option to save file or cancel I would rather these just download, or open as a pdf file can anyone help me with this.

Hi justfriends345, Thank you for your question. I understand that there is a game that you are trying to download and it only give a binary file.

  • Is there an antivirus software or firewall that scans downloads or blocks certain file types on the computer that may prevent or block the finish of a download?
  • What to do if you can't download or save files <-- that is the basic troubleshooting if this is happening on multiple sites.

If it is happening only on one site, check the legitimacy of the link by hovering over the download link. The url preview will be on the bottom left of the window. Anything weird?
