problem sending e-mail
After pushing the Send button Firefox says that the e-mail was sent 100 %, as shown in the attached image. This "Your message is sent 100 %" screen stays for about 30 seconds. Until a month ago this screen used to disappear immediately after 100 % was reached. I checked al the e-mail server settings but that didn't solve the problem. What could be wrong that this screen stays there so long?

What security software do you have?
It is possible that security (Anti-Virus, firewall) is causing problems. Try to disable security software temporarily to see if that makes a difference.

Thanks. Problem is indeed caused by Microsoft Security Essentials. If I switch of "Real time protection (recommended)" the delay doesn't occur.
Is there a simple solution without switching to another anti-virus program?
