Recently I have been unable to send pdf attachments to email from my computer. Why? I can go online and send them fine!
In about the last month I have been unable to send emails with pdf attachments from my computer. They are not large. The pdfs turn into garbage at the bottom of the email. Have been able to do it for years before. I can go online and attach the pdf file and it is fine. I am attaching the first part of what happens to the pdf. It is a 1 page email and it turns it into 151 pages of garbage.

I suspect that what you are encountering is what's reported here: http://www.kombitz.com/2008/01/23/thunderbird-attachment-problem/ In that case, they were able to replace the corrupted 'mimeTypes.rdf' file with a correct version from another installation. If you can't do that you'll have to remove and reinstall Thunderbird. Back up your Thunderbird profile folder first!
