After a recent TB update I have started getting the error msg above. The screen freezes and after a long time the msg with the options; continue or stop script appears in a pop up window with the title Warning: Unresponsive script.

Has anyone seen this type of error msg recently and what do you suggest would be the best way to fix the problem? I am using McAfee AV with the setting for email attachments disabled.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts and contributions on this subject!

Problem solved. I disabled the McAfee Thunderbird Extension as outlined in your response and the problem no longer exists.

Thanks a bunch for your help in solving this problem!!!!

Sayitright - presumably both Thunderbird and McAfee has updated in the past two months.

So do you still experience this problem if you re-enable the addon?

Wayne,

Thanks for the input. I've made a decision to simply use the junk feature that resides in TB and not add on the spam feature from McAfee. Thanks again for your help... Contributors like yourself really make this forum worthwhile.
