Is there a way to go to a link directly instead of having to click on the black bar that appears when you click on the link?

Recent updates require a user to, in essence, give Firefox permission to open a link when user clicks on the link. A black bar appears and it is then necessary to quickly click on that black bar in order to access the original link.
