The inspect element tool of Firefox browser (version) is not showing the <pre> tag and it's contents on YouTube pages. The pre tag I am referring to is as follows (screenshot taken on torch browser): (Red arrow indicates pre tag, blue arrow indicates script tag common to firefox and torch) It is the child of body tag. The inspect element for the same page on firefox looks like this: As we can see there is not pre tag. I 'googled' the problem but did not find results that explicitly explained the matter. I also checked this on Firefox developer latest version and Firefox beta latest version but the YouTube pre tag is not appearing in any of these. Why is it not appearing in Firefox's inspect element if it is appearing in chrome's inspect element? Is it a bug? If not then where else can I find the contents of that pre tag in Firefox's inspect element? Thanks a lot.

Hi cor-el. First of all, Thank you very much. I did some more digging and found out that Torch browser which I used as a base for this question was not a fresh installation. So when I installed a fresh Torch browser, I was not able to see that "pre" tag I am referring to. After more analysis I found out that the "pre" tag here is appearing due to an extension I installed in my Torch browser ( extension name: Ultimate Youtube Downloader). So in conclusion, I checked and the pre tag does not appear in any of these browsers (chrome, torch, firefox,IE,opera). It was appearing in the Torch browser due to an extension. Thank you again.

PS: I posted this question earlier but due to some migration I was unable to access my question ( actually I was unable to access my account). So I reposted my question.

This pre tag seems to show debug data. This data might be stored elsewhere in Firefox and not in the pre tag. I think that in Firefox this debug data is stored in a textarea (<textarea class="ytp-html5-clipboard"></textarea>)

I notice that you asked this before on the Lithium based forum (2017-04-15) and that I gave you the same answer I posted above. I don't know if you had read my reply I posted there that included a screenshot.

Note that this support forum has temporarily moved back from the Lithium based from to the previously used Kitsune based forum to make it possible to fix some issues that were recovered during the first weeks.
