It appears that I am getting more cookies stored on my system with your privacy controls on than before I set them. I want absolute approval of all requests.

I did a cleanup before I set or modified codes. I also did a cleanup after. I had the largest number of cookies that I have had before. Also it appears that Firefox is tracking my system and historical records to identify potential trackers of applications that I have not used for 5 years and identifying them as green. My data utilization rate also tripled after setting the badger and privacy controls. Something seems seriously wrong with this product. During one browser session my McAfee Total controls were deactivate. It seems my system became less private, less secure and more data usuage intensive. How do I turn off and remove this browser add-on.

You can view, disable, and often remove unwanted extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a (Mac: Command+Shift+a)
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
  • type or paste about:addons in the address bar and press Enter/Return

In the left column of the Add-ons page, click Extensions. Then cast a critical eye over the list on the right side. Any extensions that Firefox installs on its own are hidden from this page, so everything listed here is your choice (and your responsibility) to manage. If in doubt, disable.

Often a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox before the change takes effect. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.

Hope this helps.
