firefox does not immediately recognize mouse clicks, and typing lags badly on many sites
I have a lot of trouble on a lot of websites getting Firefox to recognize a simple mouse click, and have to click several times to get anything to work, and typing lags so badly on many sites that I usually switch to Chrome just to be able to type anything ( I have surprisingly had no problem on this site! ). I have done all the troubleshooting and no plugins ( including legacy ) are causing this problem. I know it is not a hardware issue with my mouse and keyboard because everything works fine in Chrome and I have many plugins installed there as well, and nothing is a problem there, and I would just switch to Chrome but for the simple reason that I want to keep using Firefox as I have done since its inception.

It has to do with Multiprocessor I am sure.
Instead of me having you turn it off in guts of Firefox. Why not do this instead. Please uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved.
Install Firefox 57 Quantum Final Release from here : https://fileforum.betanews.com/detail/Mozilla-Firefox-for-Windows/1032985422/1 Note it will be available tomorrow on Mozilla servers and possibly Help/About and or update. So your several versions behind. Stick in clean code instead of another update. Note : Legacy Extensions will be disabled and or removed.
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
Hi, thanks for your reply, I updated to Quantum, which solved the lag and clicks problem, but have a whole host of others now
