Try : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode

If issue stops : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile

Please try to get Updated Drivers for your Video Card AMD Radeon(TM) R4 Graphics as there is some errors in the Drivers. If you can not download what you can that is above driverDate: 4-20-2015 or the same and reinstall. Save the Driver installer some place safe.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database (bookmarks and history) in the Firefox profile folder.

  • use "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page

See also:

If "Verify Integrity" on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page can't repair the places.sqlite database then remove all places.sqlite file(s) in the Firefox profile folder to make Firefox rebuild the places.sqlite database from the most recent JSON backup in the bookmarkbackups folder.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.

That is because the issue is it seems in your Profile. The profile maybe corrupted by the sounds of it and yes it is not common but does happen and takes a little bit of patience and some work to fix.

I do not know how you got your bookmarks but this is the best way to have them for life if update the file or repeat and overwrite. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/export-firefox-bookmarks-to-backup-or-transfer

Did you follow these instructions that was posted previously ? : Try making a new Profile : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles and If issue stops : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/recovering-important-data-from-an-old-profile

If you have not then, have not.

You could also do this : uninstall Firefox. Then Delete the Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86) Then restart system. Then run Windows Disk Cleanup. Then run it again and click the button that says Cleanup System Files. Note: your Firefox Profile is saved. But you should make a back up before you do : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles

Reinstall with Current Release Firefox 57.0.2 with a Full Version Installer https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

Or as you requested ; do the above with out the install and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data

If wanting to Going back : unfortunately 56.0.2 and below is no longer safe to use for every day use do to security issues, but 52.5.0 ESR is. It will continue to get security updates until May 2018, and you can download and install it from this page: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/all/ Note : Legacy Extensions will be deleted or removed in any version update after May 2018.

You should make a backup of your Profile before going back and just because: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/back-and-restore-information-firefox-profiles incompatibility.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
