How to enable active-x controls - at all or for a particular web site?

more options

I need to enable Active-X controls for a particular (IP camera device) web site but can't find any options, plug-ins, or extensions to do that for the latest versions of Firefox. (I was able to find an old plug-in that would do this, but it doesn't seem to be supported for the current Firefox releases anymore). I don't want to rely on having to use the old and obsolete Internet Explorer browser to watch my (SMC) IP camera stream (which uses proprietary Active-X controls) since IE may stop being supported at some point. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi, no solution for you for Firefox, check the manufacturers website, they may have info to use with Firefox, or not.

Do not use IE, Use Microsoft Edge in Win 10 if that is the OS that will be using the cam.

I think Internet Explorer 11 is the best option, really, the only option. It is still in currently supported status, so I don't think you have to worry about security updates being discontinued for several years.
