En el area de "Texto de la firma"necesito poder editar lo que escribo sin depender del HTML. Existe algún plugin que me permita editar el formato (negritas,cursivas,colores,tamaños,etc) Gracias

Puedes ver en Complementos Thunderbird: Resultados de la búsqueda de "signature". Hay varios, no he probado ninguno, —prefiero editar—.

También puedes usar directamente, editores de texto para trabajar online gratis: Hemingway Editor y ZenPen. En este último puedes copiar el texto o descargarlo (save text) en formato HTML y luego pegarlo en el campo de "Texto de la firma".

Si quieres algo más complejo (tamaño del texto, colores, etc.) busca un editor de texto con formato (HTML), tipo "WYSIWYG"(Acrónimo), en español: "lo que ves es lo que obtienes".
