BBC videos won't play. progress bar moves, but only still picture displays.

After video loads and the opening screen is displayed and play is pressed it does not start playing, not even the progress bar moves. If I click on the progress bar the indicator starts to move but only a still is displayed in the video window. this behavior showed up about two weeks ago.

Solved: I had autoplay set to false in about:config. Putting it back to true fixed it, but now I'm stuck with autoplaying videos
