I've just installed 60.4.0 (32-bit). I've set up connection to a POP server, and I've been migrating email into folders (under Local Folders) in Thunderbird.

I now have two folders I can't access: <pop account>\Trash and Local Folders\<folder name>.

When I click on them in the left hand navigation tree, nothing loads and the whirly icon shows in the Home tab and on my mouse icon. In the browser console, this JS error is shown:

NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED: Component returned failure code: 0x80520015 dbViewWrapper.js:88 (NS_ERROR_FILE_ACCESS_DENIED) [nsIMsgFolder.updateFolder] FolderNotificationHelper_notifyOnLoad resource:///modules/dbViewWrapper.js:88:7 DBViewWrapper_open resource:///modules/dbViewWrapper.js:788:7 FolderDisplayWidget_show chrome://messenger/content/folderDisplay.js:803:9 FolderPaneSelectionChange chrome://messenger/content/commandglue.js:352:3 onselect chrome://messenger/content/messenger.xul:1:1 onxblmousedown chrome://global/content/bindings/tree.xml:1156:14

I wanted to add a couple of screenshots, but they won't load for some reason (*.png)

I would say you have a rouge anti virus product. They can cause all sorts of issues. So much so that we recommend folks place an exclusion on the anti virus scanning your profile folder.

In the final case just try right clicking the folder in question and from the properties entry select repair. I would guess the indexing is being corrupted by an external program, like anti virus. Issues about access denied are usually contention issues cause by the anti virus.
