It was a time ago when I start Thunderbird I had to provide first my masterpassword then I could see my emails. Now thunderbird shows my emails and then asks for the masterpassword. That means everybody who starts thunderbird can see my (old) emails. I only wnat them to show up AFTER I logged in with my masterpassword. Any solutions?

The Master Password has nothing to do with preventing access to your email. It never has. It protects access to your saved email passwords. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Master_password

Hi donnerwetter, Did you have an add-on installed that forced you to enter your master password before viewing messages?

If you share a computer, create a separate Windows account for each person, and make sure your Windows account requires a password. Thunderbird stores accounts, messages and password information separately for each Windows account.
