Why does Firefox insist that my password is wrong if i`m being sent a 2FA confirmation code to my linked mail account??

Yesterday, my hard drive died, taking down firefox with all its data. Got a new hard drive in place, reinstalled windows, reinstalled firefox, attempted to sign in to sync, managed to remember my password after a few tries. Got my 2FA confirmation code via email, wrote it in the text field. Boom. Wrong password. Tried again. Same thing. I already have like 11 messages with codes to enter, nothing works, neither " https://accounts.firefox.com/signin " nor " https://accounts.firefox.com/settings ". Firefox insists that my password is wrong. I am very sure it is correct, otherwise i wouldn't get a 2FA code. Prior to all this, my Android got stolen. It was pattern locked, sent the command for full wipe, so the PC was the only remaining device still standing, until it crashed too. Resetting my password is TOTALLY OUT of the question, as i have years worth of data and saved bookmarks and logins. I need urgent help, this is getting critical very very fast. I tried pretty much everything i could think of.

Sorry, I can't help you with 2FA issues with Sync, but ....

Do you still have the "dead" hard drive?

Many times the drive may not boot up the operating system, but the drive would still work for recovering user saved data when connected as a 2nd drive or connected thru a USB adapter.

A cable like this: https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-SATA-USB-Cable-USB3S2SAT3CB/dp/B00HJZJI84

or this: https://www.amazon.com/Generic-Adapter-Converter-Optical-External/dp/B002OV1VJW

The hard drive is very very dead. Bios doesnt see anything, and it doesnt even start up. I doubt any of that gear would work :( I do not understand why is the authentication system doing this. I tried again this evening 4 times, same story. I did some screenshots this time. I write my account's email adress. write the password, it requests the 2FA code, i get my code in the mail, write it, hit Continue and it sends me back to the first page :/ I really don't know what else to try. Thanks in advance Later Edit:it no longer says my password is wrong, it only redirects me to the first page
