Why does InstallRoot no longer find the NSS store? Where is the NSS store so that I can manually link it?
In FF 50 when I ran InstallRoot, the NSS store could be found. In FF 69, running InstallRoot isn't able to find the NSS Store.
I'm trying to figure out what changed (other than a lot :P ) such that InstallRoot can't find it.
I've tried doing a file structure comparison, and the only thing that I could really find is that FF50 is 32bit. So I downloaded and installed the 32bit version of FF69; but InstallRoot still doesn't see it.
I'm currently looking through the WinRegistry to see what differences are there.
Any thought?

Sorry, I forgot to note:
If I install FF50, and then immediately install FF69 without even opening FF50, InstallRoot will work and find the NSS store.
This is telling me that it's a file or registry key, or something, from FF50 that isn't being overwritten or deleted by FF69.
If I can find this item, I can start to work out a repeatable solution.
Current Firefox release use a cert9.db SQLite database to store certificate data, older Firefox versions used cert8.db (DBM), so it is possible that the installer isn't aware of this change.
You can possibly install the DoD certificates manually in Firefox.
- /questions/1259494 How do I install CAC certificates in the new firefox?
You can find a link to get a ZIP archive with the DoD certificates on this page:
Note that you can find cert9.db in the profile folder.
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
