I am getting this error message on (3) email addresses I have used many times before: This message was created automatically by the mail system (ecelerity).

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

>>> Gmeiris1@aol.com (while not connected): 554 5.4.7 [internal] exceeded max time without delivery

Your email provider's SMTP server cannot deliver your message to the recipient's email provider server.

Is that all the information you got, or is there a specific cause given?

In any case, this is not related to Thunderbird. Probably it would n't hurt to check with the intended recipient(s) if there are any issues with their email provider.
