Emails Remain in Drafts Folder After Sending
If it takes longer than the "autosave" time (for me 5 mins) to compose a message, after sending that message the last auto saved version remains in the "Drafts" folder. However, notification of same does not occur until Thunderbird is closed and subsequently restarted. At that point the "Drafts" folder in the folder pane appears in bold type (indicating an unread message).
This problem has been constant for about 8 - 9 months after a T-Bird auto update.
I've tried "repairing" the folder both empty and when a bogus draft message is in it.
I've tried posting here, but can never find my post when looking for it again later to see if someone has posted a solu8tion. (Lame find function can't find exact title of my post, for some reason).
It is not a gmail, yahoo, etc. account but a long established POP3 on my domain that never had this problem from T-bird rev 2 through whatever Rev was current approx April of 2019.
QUESTIONS: 1. How do I fix this problem? 2. How do I find this post and replies thereto (since the support find function never seems to be able to locate "Emails Remain in Drafts Folder" once I have posted my question?
Thanks for any help.

Can't say why the Drafts folder doesn't empty with a POP account. I'd be inclined to rebuild the Drafts folder by deleting the Drafts mbox file and the Drafts index from the profile, then have a new Drafts folder recreated when you restart TB and save the first draft in the new folder.
Help/Troubleshooting, click Open Folder, close TB, open Mail/<popaccount>, delete Drafts and Drafts.msf.
Did that (deleted "Drafts" and "Drafts.msf" from the profile) and the problem persists.
