Outgoing email settings do not show Authentication method even though it is selected in the submenu. Am I using authentication or not?

I am trying to debug an authentication issue for mail account A. As shown in the attachment (username and servername greyed out), the Authentication method field is blank (I did not grey this out). However, if I got to Edit..., a authentication method is set. At first I though this was the cause of my authentication issues with A, but seems this field is blank on another computer using mail account B on a different server, and this mail account works just fine. If I change the authentication method for B to No Password, it does not work anymore, so it seems my settings are respected even though it doesn't like to display it.

Am I correct in thinking this blank Authentication method field is just a bug?

The actual authentication is shown when you edit the server, even though it appears blank. This is fixed in TB 68.8:
