Moving Thunderbird to a new computer and copy / paste the Thunderbird folder to the new computer doesn't work.

I have followed many of the same procedures found in this forum and other web pages. Copy the Thunderbird folder from my old computer to a jump drive. Shutting down Thunderbird prior to copying. Then pasting the Thunderbird folder to the same location on the new computer (with Thunderbird not running). When opening Thunderbird on the new computer, I am just greeted with a blank Home page where I can set up a new account. From the tutorials, I am lead to believe that copy / pasting the Thunderbird folder from the old to new computer was all that was required. Even found a you tube video that makes it look that easy.

Apparently there is a step that I am missing?

I should clarify the location of the Thunderbird folder. I am copy and pasting it from within the Roaming folder on both computers.
