Bing takes over my seaches even though Google is selected
Need to find out why my preferences in Firefox the search engine Google is selected but on the second search reverts to Bing and I cannot get rid of Bing.
Chosen solution
Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open your Add-ons Manager. Hot key; (<Control> [Mac=<Command>] <Shift> A)
In the Add-ons Manager, on the left, select Extensions. Remove “ Bing “ Anything.
Also remove SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine, securedsearch
Now do the same in the computer’s Programs Folder.
Windows: Start > Control Panel > Uninstall Programs. Mac: Open the Applications folder. Linux: Check your user manual.

Thank you FredMcD, I was able to remove Bing from my Firefox extensions and Google search is working well.
I didn't find on a Mac a Programs Folder and in the Applications folder I did not see any Bing apps or SafeSearch, SearchAssist Incognito, FileConverter Addon, SearchLock, DiscreteSearch, WebSearch, Findwide Search Engine, securedsearch Could Bing be hiding somewhere?
