I keep my Gmail tab open and pinned. I really hate the blue dot/light that shows up when I get a new email. The method described here had worked for a long time but no longer works. Help please! Mozilla, can you guys provide an option to disable it?

Chosen solution

I still see the same CSS code for [titlechanged].

.tabbrowser-tab > .tab-stack > .tab-content[pinned][titlechanged]:not([selected="true"]) {background-image: none !important;}

Does other code in your userChrome.css still works ?

In Firefox 69 and later you need to set this pref to true on the about:config page to enable userChrome.css and userContent.css in the chrome folder.

Hello? Did I do something wrong? This blue dot; it infuriates me that it's back and that you guys provide no control over it. I'm trying to work and half of my damned tabs have blue dots on them. It's distracting. Why is it back?

This is so frustrating. I try to support you guys for many reasons. I've been trying since the early 00's. But there's so often one thing or another that you guys get wrong and I have to switch to another browser. This isn't nothing, switching browsers impacts me at work, home, and on my phone. I'm going to have to switch to another browser AGAIN. This must be ... it's like every few years... the 10th time?

Please help!

WARNING: This script is not provided by Mozilla and is not officially supported Creating a userChrome.css file and other ways of customizing Firefox that are not exposed in the interface are there for developers, not end-users. If it were intended for end-users, you would see a menu option or checkbox; you wouldn't have to hack a text file in a hidden location.

What this means is that even though the functionality you want is no longer supported, a third-party has found a way to do it using the CSS file. If it breaks in new versions, you will need to contact the person who provided the script.

Corel, THANK YOU. That setting* had been flipped back to false. Hopefully that's all it is. I'll report back in here soon.

You are THE MAN. Thank you for helping me. It's been six weeks of frustration and nobody replying. Wow, what a difference already.
