Chosen solution

If the pixels are remotely-hosted images, they are not downloaded by default in TB if 'Allow remote content in messages' is unchecked in Options/Privacy & Security. Remote images also cannot be downloaded if View/Message Body As is Simple HTML or Plain Text. If the setting is Original HTML, and 'Allow...' is unchecked, a yellow warning bar appears with Options to allow or disallow remote content.
