How do I delete the sync data out of my Firefox account (but leave the account otherwise intact?)
I used Firefox Sync in order to fix a corrupted Firefox profile, and now want to delete the sync data from Mozilla's servers (as it's no longer needed). However, I would like to keep my account on Firefox Accounts. What's the best way to ensure this?
Approaches I think *might* work:
- Change my registered email address, delete my account, create a new account with the original email - Reset my password (causing sync data to be deleted)
The first one seems more thorough, but perhaps a little *too* thorough. :-) But the second is only implied to work, not stated outright. Thoughts?
Chosen solution
A password reset of the Firefox Account should be sufficient to clear data stored on the server.
You can install the About Sync extension in Firefox 72 and newer on desktop to check what data is stored on the Sync server via the about:sync page provided by this extension.
Close and restart Firefox to access the about:sync page added by this extension (see the about:about page for possible about pages).

Great, thank you! I was able to do the following:
1. Use that in my regular profile to view my sync data 2. Sign out all devices 3. Reset password 4. Create fresh profile 5. Sign into Sync in the fresh profile and confirm that there was no data to sync
